Start Planning Early
If you are wanting to have a pool installed for next summer, you will want to start considering the pool company that you plan to use. Many companies will begin to book projects several months in advance, so it is never too early to start researching the company you are interested in and make the first phone call to them. Your initial phone call may just be for you to get additional information on the company and ask any questions that you may have about the company or the process.
Consultation and Design
Once you have selected the pool company you want to use to complete the pool installation then you will have a consultation with them and begin the design process. This process can take a couple of weeks depending on when the company can come for a consultation and any changes that you and your contractor make to the initial design.
Contracts and Permitting

This will be the longest part of the process, but it is critical that it dries for the appropriate amount of time so it can reach its required hydration and designed compression strength.
Final Steps and Fill
Once the gunite has cured, then the process can be finished and the pool can be filled. Prior to filling the pool with water, you may need to have tile installed along the top 6 inches or so of the pool. You may also have planned for the pool to be surrounded by beautiful pavers, to give you a serene place to sit and relax when you are not swimming. This is when those pavers would be put into place.
